Burns Construction and Remodeling llc

My husband and I moved into our condo after living in our home fot 40 years. Jim did all of our updates to the condo and we feel so comfortable in our new place. It is so beautiful. I was nervous about moving but Jim and his company made things so accessible for my husband. We love everything about what they did! Thank you for our forever home!

Jim and his crew did an exceptional job making my parents new condo the perfect living space for them. The extra detail they took on the job made the experience less stressful. My Father needed handicap accessible (everything) and Jim made sure ALL of that was taken care of. From grab bars to a handicap shower to steps to every entrance. They paid special details to the wood work, made sure every appliance was working, along with checking the vents. I feel confident referring Jim and his crew to everyone! Extremely easy to work with. Thank you for dedication to this project and making my parents new condo so beautiful!

I had an amazing experience with Burns Constructions and Remodeling! Jim and his team did an incredible job transforming my home. The attention to detail and quality of the work were outstanding. Jim was able to fit me into his schedule and completed the entire project in a timely manner, which I truly appreciated. He was professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. I am extremely happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Burns Remodeling and Construction to anyone looking for quality work and a beautiful finished result!

Jim and his crew went above and beyond my expectations. Jim installed new storm doors at my house. Not only did he do meticulous work, he caulked and painted the trim and threshold (which was in rough shape). Throughout the process Jim kept me updated and came to do the job as promised. I know my job was small compared to his other jobs, but he was fair priced, respectful and left the job clean as if I was a big job. I would highly recommend Jim and his crew. I will have them do any future work in my house.

Jim and the team at Burns Construction did a fantastic job on our new bathroom. Jim was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and his attention to detail is top-notch. Highly recommend them for any remodel!

We recently had Burns Construction and Remodeling do a kitchen remodel. From the first time we met with Jim (owner) until the very end of our project, the entire process went smooth without any issues. The crew was fantastic and arrived on time every day, worked hard, cleaned up, and were very respectful and polite. The overall quality of work was excellent. Jim is a great communicator and runs a very fair business. His knowledge, experience, craftsmanship, and expertise results in all-around exceptional service. We are so very happy with the outcome of the work done! I would not hesitate to call them again in the future. I recommend them highly!

A family member passed away after renting my condo for the past 15 years. I don’t live in the area, so planned a visit and invited real estate agents to come and look at the unit. I arrived the night before and went to look at the place for the first time since it was rented. After just a few minutes I realized I didn’t want to show it to anyone. One of the agents I was working with, Alyssa Snyder, went way beyond helpful by providing advice and sharing resources. She had a well developed list of preferred contractors and service providers that included Jim Burns as a contractor. I invited Jim and two other contractors to come and work up a project that would remove everything in the unit and turn it into something I could sell. Among the first challenges, there was a tremendous amount of ‘stuff’ in the condo that family and friends did not want. The carpet and kitchen flooring, kitchen cabinets and bath vanity were all unsalvageable, and a leaky roof over the bedroom had been there for a while. All in all, it was going to be a pretty big job. All three contractors seemed competent, but Jim had some good ideas about low cost things that would really help improve the place. I was really comfortable with him, and it seemed like he was a good communicator. Very important since I don’t live nearby. Right from the start I knew I had hired the right guy. Jim and his tiny but mighty team of three had all of the stuff removed in a matter of days. He was really good about sending me pictures at the end of almost every day. One of the first showed how they had gotten into the wiring above the kitchen and decided a small partition wall we discussed could be removed since it wasn’t carrying any load. That and they removed the long fluorescent tube lighting in the overhead and put shallow recessed can lighting in that looked so much better and brighter. Laundry area lighting was handled the same way. Each time he sent pictures it was looking better and better. Old sconce style lighting fixtures were removed and replaced with shallow cans in the hallway and garage entry way. Pictures of all of the new lighting in place with mud and tape patching done and primed was kind of a milestone. The bedrooms didn’t have ceiling lights in them, so he installed electrical boxes in the center of the ceiling and put in overhead fans with lights. They stripped all of the carpet from the place and leveled the kitchen, dining, and living room floor after using a whole box of nails to secure the underlayment. Luxury Vinyl Planking was laid over the whole front room, kitchen, front room, dining area and hallways. New carpet went into the bedrooms. The bifold doors were cleaned up and minor repairs made such that they all look brand new. All the cabinets were removed and Jim worked with a partner of his to provide brand new cabinets and countertop, and a new vanity for the bath. The results are stunning. Jim’s crew more than doubled the value of the unit. Two investors had visited prior to my choosing to remodel and offered around $73,000 to take the unit off my hands, saying after they were done they would expect to get about $110,000. Jim’s work made it possible to list the property on Friday and sell it the next day for $155,000. I recommend you talk with Jim Burns before signing a contractor to remodel a place. You’ll be glad you did.

I experienced a very stable and well-structured flow throughout the entire process. Everything was handled with care, which made it easy to stay confident. The final outcome was excellent and truly impressive.

Three cheers for Jim Burns and team for doing an awesome job on installing a difficult barn door for our bathroom. After a seven month run around from our original installation company, we were given Jim Burns' name. He was all we had hoped for and more. He came over on time, assessed the work, and at first even tried to repair the broken door, but it was not possible. A new door was ordered and Jim and team installed it beautifully. It was not an easy job to do, but they did it and it looks magnificent. They were respectful of our property, came on time, and did the job beautifully. We are extremely pleased with their work. I've now hired Burns Construction for a full bathroom remodel, a multi-room ceiling repair and resurfacing, and for finding and repairing a third-floor plumbing issue that included finishing a raw attic that added lots of much needed new storage space in the process. Skilled and meticulous. I'll be a customer again pretty soon, and coincidentally just referred them to a friend for a new patio build earlier today!

I have had Burns Construction and Remodeling complete three projects in my home and all were such positive experiences! First, after having a leak in my kitchen ceiling, Jim repaired the ceiling to make it look completely seamless! Next, he put in new flooring and baseboards in the basement and the most recent project was a kitchen remodel. After Jim had completed the first project, there was no doubt that I wanted to use him again for the basement and kitchen! Jim was excellent to communicate with, gave great input, was there when they said they would be and the quality of their workmanship was excellent! I am very picky and a little OCD and their work is done as if they were doing it in their own home! They take pride in their work and it shows! Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone based on their skilled workmanship, professionalism, communication and the respect they showed to my family and my home during the process! I will continue to use this company for future projects!!!

We are so happy with the work that Jim and his crew have done in our home. They’ve completed a wide range of projects for us, including remodeling our master bathroom and closet, tiling our laundry room, painting, redoing a half bath, and installing new flooring. Jim is incredibly detail-oriented, and it truly shows in the final results. Everything was done with care, precision, and a high level of craftsmanship. The team was talented, professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and are already looking forward to starting our next home project. Thank you, Burns Construction!

I’ve had Jim do a few renovations for our 100 year old home. Very punctual and contentious work ethic. Professional results every time. Highly recommend Burns Construction for your home renovation projects. Reasonably priced as well!!

The company was professional, affordable and willing to help me fix what the last company forgot to do. I have used them multiple times for different projects and never once felt pushed into something or like something was trying to get over on me . 10 out of 10
